On July the professor Baitinger returned to "The 6-th Congress of the World Society for reconstructive microsurgery".

Timo Raatikainen, professor hand surgeon in chief Helsinki University Hospital wrote to professor Baitinger:"Dear Professor Baitinger, thank you very much for your contribution to the fothcoming WSRM Congress in Helsinki. I would like to ask you a favour: could it be possible for you to add one presentation more on your presentation list. Thursday, 30, June we have an Instructional course on "Repair of mutilated hand - how I do it." Could you give a presentation of 20 minutes about this subject. We are really grateful, if this suits you. We appreciate your reply.

The German surgeon Andreas Gohritz wrote to professor Baitinger: "Dear prof. Baitinger, it was an honour and pleasure meeting you and talking with you at the WSRM meeting in Helsinki and i thank you for your kind interest in the presentation i made in cooperation with dr. Dellon on Otfrid Foerster. 
Foerster was an eminent pioneer of periheral nerve reconstruction who did his main work during the first world war and also treated Lenin in Siberia during almost 2 years in the 1920s. During his time in Russia, he also summarized his surgical results gained from more than 4000 nerve patients and almost 800 operations.
